So I played a very short set at the Russian Nationals in Nizhny Novgogrod aka Нижний Новгород. I was already quite tired because I had played for 2 teams during the day after having taken a car through to night to get there. Games on the next were set to start at 8:00 so I kept it nice and short, especially since there was another DJ there. Then again that other guy was set to play against us in the 8:00 match, so kudos for keeping the crowd going for so long after I had retired to my tent. At any rate as always Electro Swing turned out to be a crowd pleaser and a great way to start the dance floor onto a little journey through my music taste. Unfortunately due to lightning conditions I didn't really see much of the dance floor, so I just joined in with the dancing at times to see if the vibe was right. This was also my first time DJing outdoor and DJing only with a laptop and no MIDI controller. Worked out ok, although once when I wanted to search for a track, I accidentally killed the current running one. Doh!
